This site is a tribute to Caroline Woods. She is much loved and will always be remembered.
A Message from Alex & Izzy:
We are asking instead of flowers for the funeral that we'd like people to donate to something close to mum's heart. She's worked for the NHS for over 20 years and her most recent job has been as a Therapy Assistant at The Woking Community Hospital, part of the Ashford and St Peter's Trust, helping to rehabilitate people who have suffered neurological events. With our Dad (Clive) having suffered a stroke some time ago we know too well the impact it has on both the individual and the friends and family.
We'd also love if you have memories or stories, for this to be a space to share these moments & and if you're in a position to give generously to help make a real difference.
Below is a summary of the incredible work Mum was part of and the vital role of the Bradley Unit. We hope this helps keep her legacy alive.
"The Bradley Unit is a specialist neuro rehabilitation unit based in Woking Hospital. It serves to meet the care and rehabilitation needs of patients from across Surrey and surrounding areas following a neurological diagnosis, often something very shocking and sudden such as a stroke, head injury or spinal injury. Caroline was a cherished and key member of this team for 9 years and had such a positive impact on so many people during this time through her highly skilled input alongside her caring and encouraging personality.
Charitable funds are used to make a real difference to those going through challenging times whilst on their rehabilitation journey. They help to improve the experience for patients and their families by making improvements to the rehab environment or providing equipment that otherwise they may not have access to."
Thanks
